Implementation Approach
Interfolio is a hosted, cloud-native platform for which we have purchased a 3-year subscription. As part of the package we purchased, the implementation includes single sign-on, application and security configuration, Interfolio integration with enterprise systems, development of an integrated, interim advanced forms solution, branding, end user communications, training and support.
The Interfolio project will be carried out in a phased approach, over the course of 36 months. Princeton will be implementing the entire Interfolio product suite, which includes the following modules:
- Interfolio Academic Appointments
- Interfolio Academic Activity Reporting
- Interfolio Academic Search
- Interfolio Academic Lifecycle Management
Success Criteria
We have key metrics that will help us understand how Interfolio will advance ODoF as follows:
- Replace at least 75% of PDF forms with electronic forms.
- Reduce manual processing of ODoF appointee data by at least 50%.
- Reduce email communications related to academic actions by at least 50%.
- Provide self-service access to academic activity information needed by academic units and campus partners.
- Replace AHIRE, DOF “Dropbox” and numerous shadow systems (Access databases and Excel spreadsheets) with Interfolio.
Project Goals
- Provide a central hub for academic administration that is robust, modern, secure, easy-to-use and easy-to-manage.
- A smooth transition from current systems and workflows, which include manual processes, to a centralized system.
- Clear and timely communication with all affected constituencies about project plans, timelines, impacts, opportunities, and advantages of Interfolio.
